The Breakfast Club

im playing Bloc Party on guitar at the moment, well not literally this second. but i was, i was playing mercury. i love it. even if it hasnt actually got a guitar in it.

today was different to the others. i spent the first two hours of my day driving with my driving instructor, cocking up everything i did, he was talking about if you could have one wish what would it be, i didnt want to actually tell him what i wanted to wish for so i made something up. but his one was interesting, he said he wanted to freeze the universe for 2 years, so he can get exactly what he wants done, steel money, and learn to fly. it sounded interesting, we were also thinking through all the repercussions and problems you may encounter. it was quite interesting.

Ive been texting Daryl on and off all day, i love our long texty conversations, they fill some of the massive voids in my time :) so thank you ^^

after this i had double art, where i mounted all my work onto boards (that wasnt actually in my sketchbook) i had 4 a1 boards, which isnt bad considering my attendance is 35% my final piece will consist of a Paula Rego escque shaped self portrait with the colours inspired by picasso's blue period. this work will hopefully get me into art college. im pinning my hopes on it.

so i was sitting around in art listening to Madina Lake, feeling pretty low, i sat there at the end of the lesson on a table, staring at my mp3 player to look like i was doing something trying to figure out why i was low.

lunch wasnt bad, Chris and myself stood around as everyone else was playing cards, our form rooms (which are next door to each other) are both closed for exams, so there is a mass collection of different social cliques in this one common room, you had the average people who like indie music from year 12 behind us, the chavs infront of us, to the right we had the like nerdy nerds and in the corner was the arty- and german kids from year 12. by the sink was my ex girlfriend and her only two friends.

we were sitting by the psychology and film studies staff room, i looked at chris after looking around at all these people and said.

Me: "We're nerds arent we? i mean not like major nerds, just like not exactly popular"
Chris "Well, youre popular you have a lot of close friends in different groups"
Me: "Yeah, but youre cool too, look at everyone of us we're all different its quite amazing"
*starts pointing people at our group*
Me: "Chris youre the Nerdy Nerd, you play video games all the time and talk about internet jokes, i love you for it honestly, youre one of my closest friends and i wouldnt have you any other way."

we then came up with a list.
chris called me the Arty Nerd
Aadam: Terrorist Nerd (because he's muslim, [he laughed because he loves it... honestly!])
Lisa : Foreign Nerd
Darren : Sporty Nerd
Bandy Andy *shivers (i dont like him, he's creepy)* : Computer Nerd
Adam and Rachel: Nerdy Lovers
Charlotte : Film Nerd
Lucy : Loud annoying fustratingly Urrrrrrrr nerd
Rob: Quiet monotone nerd
Jake and Stefan : Goth Nerds

it was quite funny, for a moment we both felt like the breakfast club, a group of misfits put together.

the sad reality is, i admit yeah im a member of a few social groups. but i look at other groups who are supposedly "cooler" than us, and i realise, so what if im a nerd, i dont care who cares, im happier, the times i spend with rachel lisa and chris, or max max n tom i wouldnt trade for the world, we do such nerdy things like play video games, but who cares, i dont know what im trying to prove or if i should be but i love my friends.

after lunch i went back to my form room, jess and jess were in there, and we talked, because i dont like our temporary form room, so im not spending so much time with them. they asked me what to do for my birthday, so we've come to the conclusion. PUB CRAWL. itll be lush, and my grandparents are giving me £100 for my birthday... im guessing thatll be enough?

they were also asking me what i wanted, jess wilcox is buying me a dominos pizza for my birthday (L) :)
she's amazing.

the afternoon wasnt bad, spent with chris and jake, we were reading macbeth through the class it wasnt bad, we managed to change the subject from macbeth to Soul Calibre, we're so cool. its better than the other times tbh.

so that was my day, in the grand scheme of things it was nothing amazing, im now sitting here, doing very little waiting for sophie to text me back :P i guess ill be waiting a long time >.<

i hope you had a good day :)
