Its starting to feel christmassy now.
On the last week before christmas we have this thing called Charity Week, where people do things/organise events for 2 charities we choose and everyone contributes and as a school we raise thousands of pounds. on the last day aswel everyone pays £2 to wear their own clothes and go to the "Rock n' Roll Show" which is just a talent contest with performing acts, ive been in this once before doing a music medley, being an indian in the ymca and a ghostbuster with water pistols too (H). but ive been roped into doing it again this year, with a similar bunch of friends doing a catwalk, where i have been "modelled" and well.. if im honest i dont know exactly what im doing but we have a practice tomorrow. Anyway, the school starts to feel all festive and everyone gets involved and today our head boy who looks like Stephen Fry ran his annual "have i got news for you" in the library with teachers and a few of my friends on the pannel, it was a laugh and worth my 50p too ^^.
Something else quite extraordinary happened today.
SNOW. yes snow before christmas, usually we get it in january here, but its a week before christmas and we had snow, nothing significant just a sprinkle of it.
which made waiting at the bus stop ever-so fun.
i love the feeling of christmas, i love spending it with the people i care about, i love the thermal clothing too ^^ im a sucker for weird patterns and woolen clothing, (is wearing woolen jacket) paha. but its all traditional and all the decorations are pretty too.
its just the escence of magic and togetherness that you never experiance, and even when people complain theyve spent too much money, i still really enjoy it. i dont know why im telling you all this if im perfectly honest, and i know that as soon as it reaches boxing day i wont feel particularly cheerful until new years but right now with the build up it makes me smile. i dont even really care what i get because to me that doesnt really matter too much.
i guess i just love the idea of it all seeming like a fairytales with picturesque families enjoying time and weird clothing, loads of food and dodgy music, it has a charm that just warms the coldest of hearts.
i hope youre okay
